At its meeting on September 15, 2025, the Board Trustees of the Huntley Project K-12 Schools District No. 24, Yellowstone County, determined the following real property of the School District is abandoned, obsolete, undesirable, or unsuitable for school purposes of the School District (the Property):
Parcel 1: Geocode 03-1528-31-3-10-01-0000 Township 6 North, Range 30 East of the P.M.M., Yellowstone County, Montana Section 31: That portion of lot four (4) described as follows:
Beginning at a point on the west line of said section, thirty two (32) rods north of the southwest corner thereof; thence east ten (10) rods; thence north sixteen (16) rods; thence west ten (10) rods to a point on the west line of said section; thence south along said west line sixteen (16) rods to a point of beginning.
Parcel 2: Geocode 03-1430-10-4-04-04-0000 Township 5 North, Range 29 East of the P.M.M., Yellowstone County, Montana Section 10: SE1/4SE1/4.
Parcel 3: Geocode 03-1430-12-1-02-01-0000 Township 5 North, Range 29 East of the P.M.M., Yellowstone County, Montana Section: 12: NE4NE4
The Board of Trustees plan to sell or otherwise dispose of the Property upon the completion of the steps required under Montana law. MCA § 20-6-604.
The Board of Trustee directs that notice of the Board’s action be given by (i) publishing a notice in a newspaper of general circulation; (ii) posting notices in three public places in the School District; and (iii) posting notice on the district's website. MCA § 20-6-604 (3) and § 20-20-204.
This Board of Trustee’s resolution shall become effective 14 days after the notice is provided, unless appealed to the district court by a taxpayer in compliance with and as provided in MCA § 20-6-604 (4).
